...They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.  All the believers were together and had everything in common.  Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke break in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  (Acts 2 v. 42-47).

WHAT A CHURCH!  What would it be like to be part of such an on fire, loving and dedicated group of people?  It's our goal to allow our Heavenly Father to teach us by His Spirit, through His Word, how to be as effective and real today as the early church was then.  It’s a process that’s not always easy, but just imagine the fruit!  We desire Southern Door Community Church (SDCC) to be a safe place for hurting and needy folks to come and find love and encouragement.  Where Jesus will be at the center of all we do, and His salvation and freedom demonstrated and shared.  Where gifts and callings that have been placed on each one will be nurtured and encouraged to be used.  We are a body, where each member fits together for the health and growth of the individual and the whole body.  Where praise and worship flow freely, where the teaching of the Word is the foundation on which our lives are built, and where the joy of a family of believers is expressed as we gather around our Father.  It can happen, if we stand together and allow Him to build His church   "...on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."  Matthew 16:18
